Our Cattle & Grazing Practices

We have worked hard to select quality Black Angus and Hereford based cattle that are able to thrive in the often times unforgiving environment of San Juan County Utah. 

The cattle we raise for custom beef spend the majority of their lives grazing on the rugged and beautiful, high desert country of Southeastern Utah in the Fall, Winter, and Spring months and in the mountains of Southeastern Utah and Southwestern Colorado in the summer.

We strive to implement sound grazing practices and work closely with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Forest Service, and State agencies to promote sustainability and ensure that grazing can continue on these lands for generations to come. 

Our grazing mindset is based on knowing that sometimes the grass we leave might be the grass we come back to. The beef we offer spend the majority of their lives grazing on grass pastures and then are finished on a grain based diet that accentuates the quality our beef through good nutrition and the carefully selected and consistent genetics that we have been implementing into our cattle herd for over 25 years to create just the right amount of marbling for quality, flavorful custom beef for you to enjoy.
